    Quilt Photos

    Posted in: General

Do you have a quilt Vikki made or quilted for you?

This is Danielle, Vikki’s daughter, and I’m looking for photos of quilts my mom, Vikki, made or quilted.  If you have a photo please e-mail it to info at discretiondesigns dot com (I have to spell the e-mail address out because otherwise it would receive SPAM).

If you have any questions let me know.  Vikki also knows about this request, so if you have photos you would like to drop off at the Shop please do so.

    Thank you!

Well I think I finally got this picture sent to Danielle for her to load. Click the image below to see it full size.

Roberta L. was here while I did it to make sure it went so I have an alibi if it didn’t work.

I am cutting and stitching and getting things ready for the retreat. I am sure the hardest part is writing the patterns.  Doing the sewing is easy compared to writing it down … or at least writing it down so others can understand it! ; )

Oh, and my Oleander is getting ready to do the big bloom, which means Brian will end up bumping into huge bouquets of blooms for the next several weeks.  I’ll try to get pictures, of the plant that is – not of Brian covered in petals!  This plant has the most delicate pink flower that smells like soft baby powder.  Beautiful!

    Happy stitching,

    Vikki

P.S. The image above is part of the Dragonflies quilt, which is being taught at the retreat.  We already have 13 registered, register online today if you want to attend!

Here you go, here are the first few blocks.

There are no Y seams, and with a little matching, you get a stunning quilt. Large size will be approximately 84″ x 96″ without borders. Most of the fabrics are from the Evening Mist line.

I have made (am making) the sample in all soft taupes to chocolate.
I strongly encourage you to make this fabulous stash buster quilt from your stash.
You don’t have to purchase all your fabric for a class from the shop where the class is being held. I think there are a fair number of quilters who have a huge stash already and would like to use it before buying more. All the quilt designs I have played with this year have been with the intention of diminishing my stash.

We have it so lets use it!

    Happy stitching!
